EVENT: MTV European Music Awards

Brief

Create a mobile TV auditioning studio to promote Dell, as part of MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).

 

Mobile studio would be taken to nine UK cities in advance of the awards, to raise awareness and draw crowds.

WHAT WE DID

Turned a London taxi into a fully automated blue-screen studio, which could still operate as a functioning car. The taxi included:

- Filming and processing equipment to film auditions and upload, all from the taxi.

- LED lighting, blue-screen interface and additional battery power for the studio.

- On-board chroma key cloth technology for background choices to be made in real-time.

RESULT

  • Spectacular, mobile asset, to show off Dell brand qualities
  • Huge crowds and recruitment of large numbers of auditions
  • Fantastic awareness for Dell and MTV EMAs
